How a cargo moves

End-to-end coordination

One team follows the cargo from the loading port to delivery.

  1. A port seen from the air: tank farms, quays and a canal leading to the sea
    01

    Loading port

We coordinate each cargo from the loading port onward.

  2. A tanker under way at sea
    02

    Documents and tracking

Every shipment travels with its documentation and is tracked until it reaches the buyer.

  3. Storage tanks at a terminal at dusk
    03

    Delivery on agreed terms

Delivery follows the Incoterm in the contract, so that cost, risk and transfer points are clear from the start.

Trade terms

FOB and CIF

We trade on FOB and CIF terms, as defined by the International Chamber of Commerce (Incoterms® 2020). Other terms can be discussed case by case.

FOB

Free On Board

The seller delivers the cargo on board the vessel nominated by the buyer, at the named port of shipment. Risk passes to the buyer once the goods are on board.

CIF

Cost, Insurance and Freight

The seller arranges and pays the freight and the minimum insurance to the named port of destination. Risk passes to the buyer once the goods are on board at shipment.
